The Toshiba Sumato 18000 BTU is a wall-mounted split air conditioner and heat pump built on Toshiba’s proven inverter platform - cooling in summer and efficient heat-pump warmth in winter, in rooms up to 50 m². The reversible heat pump system delivers 5.0kW of cooling and 5.4kW of heating, and keeps working reliably down to −10°C outside.
Efficient, Quiet and Long-Lasting
A Toshiba DC inverter compressor continuously adjusts its speed rather than switching fully on and off, so the Sumato reaches temperature quicker, runs more quietly and uses less energy than fixed-speed air conditioners - rated A++/A+ (SEER 6.10 / SCOP 4.00, UK climate). Toshiba’s Magic Coil treatment keeps the indoor coil clean by stopping dust and dirt sticking to it. After you switch off, the self-clean cycle dries the coil to help prevent mould, damp and musty smells.
Comfort and Control on Your Terms
Choose High Power mode for rapid cooling or heating, or use 8°C Heating mode to help protect your home from frost while you are away during winter. On particularly cold days, the on-demand defrost function clears the outdoor unit to maintain reliable performance.
Installation & What to Order
The indoor and outdoor units are pre-gassed and sealed for a straightforward install by a qualified fitter. A pipe kit is not included - this model uses 1/4" + 1/2" connections (liquid + gas), so add the correct copper pipe & cable kit for your run length (up to 15m) from Recommended Accessories.
F-Gas Notice
