Hi, Just to let you know, there’s no need to put sand or anything else in the drip tray. The BBQ is designed so the grease collects in the metal tray underneath, which you simply empty and clean after use. Keeping it clean after cooking is all that’s needed to keep it working safely and properly, as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
