Hi, Yes, this model is factory pre-gassed with R32 refrigerant, with enough refrigerant for a standard pipe run of up to 5 metres. If a longer pipe run is required, additional refrigerant may be needed. Please note that the pipe kit is sold separately and installation must be carried out by an F-Gas qualified engineer.

Hi Steve,The TCL TAC24CH 24,000 BTU Smart A++ Wall Mounted Split Air Conditioner with Heat Pump does not use R290 refrigerant. It uses R32 refrigerant instead. If you require an R290 (propane) unit, this model would not be suitable.Thanks!

Hi John,You don’t need an F-Gas certificate to purchase the unit, but it must be installed and commissioned by an F-Gas qualified engineer. The unit comes pre-charged with refrigerant to cover a standard 5-metre pipe run; any additional pipe length may require extra refrigerant in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.Thanks!
