Hi Helen, The tap features a safety mechanism to prevent children, and adults, from burning themselves. The mechanism is a spring lock which needs to be activated by pushing it to dispense the boiling water. I hope this helps. Thanks!

Hi Rose, so this tap is a 3in1 Tap. The tap provides you with hot and cold water and then at the flick of a button provides you instant boiling hot water. It comes with a boiling water tank (Shown in images) and the tap. I hope this helps. Thanks!
