Question from Linda Davis: Asked on 13/01/2026 Does this work to -20 or does it turn on an electric back up heater and if so at what temperature is the back up heater activated
Hi, The SUPERHEAT MHP10 heat pump is designed to provide heating down to –20?°C outdoor temperature. It can work with a backup heater if installed, and the system’s controller allows the installer to manage when the backup operates. The specific use of a backup heater depends on the installation and configuration, but the heat pump itself will continue to provide heating down to very low outdoor temperatures.
