Question from Harry: Asked on 14/07/2026 If we do not have external vent and will be using the recirculation mode, do we need to buy the duct and vent accessory kit? If so which one, flat or cowl vent? Thanks
Hi, if you are installing the Russell Hobbs RHGCH903SS in recirculation mode without an external vent, you do not need to purchase a ducting kit, flat vent, or cowl vent accessory. These are only required for extraction installations where air is vented outside. For recirculation, you will only need the correct charcoal filters for the hood so that the air can be filtered and returned back into the kitchen.
Thank you.
Question from Andy: Asked on 11/06/2026 What is the measurement from bottom of extractor to the top of the outlet behind the hood. Have existing hole in wall to use for extractor pipe.
Hi Andy,The air outlet on the Russell Hobbs 90cm T-Shaped Cooker Hood (RHGCH903SS) is positioned at the very top of the unit inside the chimney section, and the vertical distance from the bottom of the hood to the outlet is approximately 40–50 cm depending on how the chimney is extended. Thanks!
Question from Mohammad: Asked on 14/05/2026 Are the charcoal filters supplied with this model or additional purchase is required.
Hi Mohammad,The cooker hood includes the standard aluminium grease filters, but the charcoal filters required for recirculation mode are usually sold separately and may need to be purchased additionally. Thanks!
Question from Samad: Asked on 10/03/2026 Can u wash the metal filters on this hood. Many thanks
Hi, The metal grease filters on the Russell Hobbs RHGCH903SS 90cm T-Shaped Cooker Hood are removable and washable. They can be cleaned in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle, and must be fully dry before refitting. Carbon filters, if fitted, are not washable and require periodic replacement.
Thank you.
