The Lenovo ThinkVision L197 Wide is a no-frills 19-inch LCD monitor geared toward conservation-minded users who require a widescreen to run basic business applications. Color and light grayscale performance are quite good on this model, but features are scarce.
Fans of Lenovo's ThinkCentre desktop and ThinkPad notebook lines will appreciate the familiar look of the L197 Wide. As is usually the case with Lenovo's corporate offerings, Business Black is the color of the day. The 1,440 by 900 widescreen panel is framed by an extremely thin bezel and is perched upon a rectangular base.
The monitor can be tilted 30 degrees backward and 4 degrees forward, but that's it; there is no support for height, swivel, or rotational adjustments. Video inputs include DVI and analog connections, and cables for both are included in the box. You won't find any USB or DisplayPort connections on this monitor, nor is there an HDMI port or integrated speakers.
