Question from James: Asked on 08/06/2026 What is there ignition source? What powers the internal light?

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 08/06/2026

Hi, On the Nordmende CTG62LPGBK, the electric spark ignition requires a 230–240V mains connection. If the cooker is not plugged in or there is a power cut, the gas burners can still be lit manually using a match or gas lighter, as long as gas is supplied and the control knobs are opened carefully in the correct sequence.

Thank you.

Question from Tommy: Asked on 31/03/2026 Hi is the main oven door reversable

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 31/03/2026

Hi, According to the official manufacturer’s manual for the Nordmende CTG62LPGBK, the main oven door is not reversible. The door hinge is fixed and cannot be changed to open from the opposite side.

Thank you.

Question from Martin Coe: Asked on 19/01/2026 Hi, just wondering how the button ignition on this oven is powered? I'm looking to install it on my canal boat which has 12v electric so a 240v connection would not be possible.
Thanks

Answer from JoseBacud: Answered on 20/01/2026

Hi Martin,The Nordmende CTG62LPGBK LPG cooker’s ignition button is powered by electricity from the mains (230–240?V). On a boat with only 12?V power, the built-in electric spark ignition won’t work, but the gas burners can still be lit manually with a match or lighter. Alternatively, you could use a small 12?V-to-230?V inverter to power the ignition, or fit a standalone piezo lighter, though manual lighting is the simplest solution. Thanks!

Question from Helen: Asked on 08/11/2025 Is this a built in cooker or freestandjng

Answer from RogelReyes: Answered on 09/11/2025

Hi Helen, this model is a freestanding cooker. Thank you.

Question from Paul hayley: Asked on 18/09/2025 Has this cooker got a LPG oven

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 19/09/2025

Hi, The Nordmende CTG62LPGBK 60cm cooker is equipped with an LPG oven and grill. It is specifically designed to operate on LPG and comes pre-set in an LPG-ready configuration, so no conversion is needed. Both the main oven and the grill are powered by LPG, ensuring efficient gas cooking. It is also requires installation by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Thank you.
