Hi, The bean hopper (the container that holds the coffee beans before grinding) on the Ninja Luxe Café Premier ES601UKBK is made from plastic (BPA-free) — it is removable and dishwasher-safe. The machine does use stainless steel in the exterior and other parts, but the internal bean hopper is not stainless steel or aluminium.

Hi Andrew,The Ninja ES601UKBK Luxe Café Premier is relatively easy to maintain. A full automatic backflush cleaning cycle takes about 6 minutes and should be done when the CLEAN light comes on, or roughly weekly or monthly if you want to stay proactive. Daily maintenance, like wiping the steam wand, rinsing the portafilter, and emptying the drip tray, only takes a few minutes. Components such as the water reservoir, bean hopper, and milk jug should be washed weekly, and the machine should be descaled when the DESCALE light appears—typically every few months depending on your water hardness. Overall, regular cleaning is quick, and the machine’s indicators make it easy to know exactly when deeper cleaning is needed.Thanks!
