The backlit feature provides gentle 6500K cool white illumination that's both flattering and functional. Since it's battery operated, installation couldn't be simpler—no electrical work needed. The battery compartment sits discretely on the back of the mirror with an easy-access cover. On top of the battery compartment is a cover, remove the cover then add 8 xAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, then reattach the cover back on. The rocker switch (located at the bottom centre when hung portrait) lets you control the lighting effortlessly. For optimal performance, we recommend using high-capacity alkaline batteries. Using lower-capacity batteries may reduce brightness and shorten battery life.
