Hi, The Frida Super King Pillow Winged Ottoman Bed (FDA003SK) features a support system engineered with 28 individual wooden slats. These slats are secured to the frame using 28 single end caps and 14 double end caps, which, when distributed across a standard Super King length, results in a narrow spacing typically between 6cm and 7cm. For optimal performance and safety, the ottoman gas-lift mechanism is calibrated for a maximum mattress weight of 55kg and must never be operated without a mattress in place. Please note that the use of power tools during assembly is strictly prohibited and will invalidate any warranty claim while potentially compromising the structural safety of the bed.
