Question from Holly: Asked on 12/05/2026 Hi there, are the backs of these somehow removable for getting custom upholstered in a different feature fabric?
Many thanks!
Hi, The Kori Counter Stool (KOR002A) is manufactured as a structurally integrated unit, and according to the official assembly and care documentation, the upholstered backrest is not a removable component. Because the stool arrives as a finished piece of furniture rather than a modular kit, the backrest is permanently fixed to the solid oak frame. There are no external bolts or fixings designed for disassembly, and attempting to detach the upholstery could cause permanent damage to the curved oak frame or the lacquer finish. While the back is not removable, a professional upholsterer may be able to apply a feature fabric directly over the existing material using specialist finishing techniques, though any such modifications are performed at the owner's risk and fall outside the standard care guidelines.
Thank you.
