Hi, The 16°C shown is the lowest temperature that can be set on the thermostat, not a guarantee that the room will be maintained at 16°C. In normal operation the unit cycles on and off to regulate temperature, and due to room conditions and how portable air conditioners operate, it is normal for the actual temperature to stabilise slightly above the set point, typically around 17–19°C.

Hi, The Whirlpool PAC9000 features a self-evaporating system, meaning most condensation is automatically recycled and expelled through the exhaust hose during normal cooling operation, so routine draining is not required. However, in high humidity conditions or extended use, excess water may accumulate and the unit will alert you when the tank is full, at which point manual drainage via the rear outlet will be required.
