Hi Marie,The Smeg KI52E3 52?cm Canopy Cooker Hood will fit in a cupboard that is 300?mm deep, but it will not fit in a cupboard that is only 300?mm wide, since the hood is approximately 522?mm wide and requires a cabinet opening of around 520–530?mm.Thanks!

Hi, If you’re using charcoal filters in your Smeg KI52E3 canopy hood, you don’t need a chimney or any ducting. The hood will clean the air through the grease and charcoal filters and then recirculate it back into your kitchen. You only need a chimney if you want to vent the air outside, but with the charcoal filters, everything works perfectly without it.

How is this cooker-hood fitted into the wooden frame of the kitchen canopy ?
Hi, The Smeg KI52E3 canopy hood fits neatly inside your kitchen cabinet above the hob, with only the underside visible. It is secured from below with screws or brackets, and the ducting and electrical connections are installed according to safety regulations. Professional installation is recommended.

Hi,To set the Smeg KI52E3 canopy hood to recirculation mode, do not connect it to an external vent. Instead, install the appropriate charcoal filter inside the hood alongside the standard grease filter. When you turn on the fan, the hood will filter and deodorize the air, recirculating it back into the kitchen rather than expelling it outside.Thanks!

Hi, The Smeg KI52E3 hood can work without a flue in recirculation mode. It filters cooking fumes through a grease and carbon filter, then returns clean air back into the kitchen. Some moisture may remain, but odours and grease are removed effectively.
