Hi, The extension leaf is not stored inside the table during normal use. The Madeline dining table uses a removable insert leaf rather than a self-storing butterfly mechanism. When using the table in its 110cm round setup, the leaf panel must be completely removed and stored separately. To extend it to the 145cm oval shape, simply unlatch the clamps underneath, slide the table halves apart, and slot the leaf into place using the alignment pins.
