Question from Linda: Asked on 03/01/2025 How to empty draw on the right side

Answer from DanBrogden: Answered on 03/01/2025

To empty the water tank (drawer) on the Indesit YTM1071RUK Heat Pump Tumble Dryer, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the Drawer: The water tank is on the right-hand side of the dryer. This is where the condensed water collects during the drying cycle.

  2. Remove the Drawer:

    • Pull the drawer outward carefully. It should slide out easily.

    • If it feels stuck, gently wiggle it side-to-side while pulling to release it.

  3. Empty the Water:

    • Once removed, tilt the drawer to pour out the collected water.

    • Use a sink or other suitable drainage point to dispose of the water.

  4. Reinsert the Drawer:

    • Slide the drawer back into its slot, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

  5. Routine Maintenance:

    • Check and empty the drawer after each drying cycle to ensure optimal performance.

    • If the dryer displays a full tank warning, empty the drawer immediately before starting a new cycle.

If you experience any issues or if the drawer doesn't come out smoothly, refer to the user manual for detailed guidance or contact Indesit customer support.

Question from AMC: Asked on 15/04/2023 Will this work if placed in a garage?

Answer from ChloeBell: Answered on 17/04/2023

Good Morning,

We do not recommend using any goods in out buildings, this is due to the cold temperatures, unsturdy floors and also moisture in the air which can get into the machine.

However if this is something you do here are the requirementsto keep your machine running without damaging it  There should be a vent to allow hot air to escape outside. The shed should be watertight and solid. The shed should have a stable floor to put the machine on

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Chloe Bell
