Question from Sue: Asked on 14/01/2026 Do you need electricity to ignite the hob, oven and grill?
Hi, The Indesit ITG5GMW gas cooker requires electricity for the built-in auto-ignition on the hob, oven and grill. If there’s no power, the gas can still be lit manually with a match or gas lighter.
Thank you.
Question from Debbie Street: Asked on 31/12/2025 Is the gas connection on the left or the right side when looking at the back of the oven?
Hi Debbie,The gas connection on the back of the Indesit ITG5GMW 50?cm Twin Cavity Gas Cooker is not fixed to one side—it can be positioned on either the left or the right, depending on how the cooker is installed. By default, many units have it on the left when viewed from the back, but a qualified installer can move it to the side that best suits your kitchen’s gas supply. Thanks!
