Hi Westy,If you’re using your electriQ 60?cm angled hood with a ducting kit to vent air outside, the included grease filters are sufficient and you don’t need a charcoal filter. Charcoal filters are only required if you plan to run the hood in recirculation mode, where the air is filtered and returned to the kitchen instead of being vented outside.Thanks!

Hi, Yes, this hood can be used without the chimney in recirculation mode — it filters the air with grease and charcoal filters and returns it to the kitchen. The chimney isn’t needed, but a charcoal filter is required for odours.
