Hi Jack,You don’t need an external vent for the Candy CCE60NX/1 60 cm Chimney Cooker Hood, because it can be used in recirculating mode, where the air passes through grease and carbon filters and is released back into the kitchen. However, connecting it to an external vent is recommended because it removes steam and cooking smells more effectively.Thanks!
