Hi, According to the assembly manual for the Clifton King Size Ottoman Bed (CLN001K), the headboard (Part 1) is a separate structural component delivered in Box 2 that is designed to be removable, as it is manually bolted to the side rails (Parts 3 & 4) using M8 x 30mm bolts (Part C) during Step 3 of the construction process. It is important to note that the headboard is not merely decorative; it serves as a primary structural anchor, secured further in Step 4 with Metal Corner Plates (Part 17) to provide the lateral stability required for the gas-lift ottoman mechanism to operate safely. While the headboard can be detached by reversing these steps, any modification or use of power tools during this process will invalidate the product warranty and may compromise the safety and alignment of the lifting frame.
