Important Installation Note
All portable air conditioners must be vented through a window or suitable opening to remove warm air from the room. This unit includes an exhaust hose and window fitting kit designed for quick and straightforward setup.
For best performance, ensure the hose is properly installed and the window opening is sealed as much as possible during use.
Question from Fiona: Asked on 29/06/2026 how heavy is this unit?
Hi, The AKAI Slimline 7000 BTU Small Portable Air Conditioner (ACP730K) weighs approximately 20 kg, making it manageable to move around the home using its built-in handles and castor wheels.
Thank you.
Question from Tillola: Asked on 26/06/2026 Does it have to be use with the water pipe
Hi,No, it doesn’t need to be used with a water pipe. The AKAI Slimline 7000 BTU portable air conditioner only requires the exhaust hose to be fitted to a window or external opening to remove hot air. A water pipe is optional and only used if you want continuous drainage in very humid conditions; otherwise, it collects moisture internally and you can empty it manually when needed. Thanks!
Question from Storm: Asked on 25/06/2026 What sizes will the window kit fit please?
Hi,The AKAI Slimline 7000 BTU portable air conditioner comes with an adjustable sliding window kit that fits most standard UK windows and can typically be extended to suit openings of around 70 cm up to just over 120 cm, depending on how it’s installed. Thanks!
Question from Emma: Asked on 25/06/2026 can i use as an air conditioner without hose as there is no window in room
Hi, The AKAI Slimline 7000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner (ACP730K) must be used with the exhaust hose vented outside (typically through a window or suitable external opening) to work properly, as the hose is essential for removing hot air from the unit during cooling; without external venting it will not cool the room effectively and is not designed for use as a ventless air conditioner, so it would not be suitable in a room with no window unless an alternative external venting option is available.
Thank you.
Question from Holly: Asked on 24/06/2026 How can you empty the water tank?
Hi, The AKAI Slimline 7000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner does not have a removable water tank; it collects moisture internally and normally evaporates it during operation. If the unit becomes full, it will stop and need draining via the rear lower drain plug—simply switch it off, unplug it, remove the plug and allow the water to drain into a container or suitable outlet, then securely replace the plug before use. A continuous drain hose can also be attached to the rear outlet for long periods of use, provided it is positioned to run downward for proper drainage.
Thank you.
Question from Jayne: Asked on 24/06/2026 What is the dimension of the hose on this please
Hi, The AKAI Slimline 7000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner (ACP730K) uses a 5-inch (127mm) diameter exhaust hose, typically around 1.5m long, compatible with standard fittings for small portable AC units.
Thank you.
